Adirondack Council affirms membership with the ‘Three Amigos’, opposes economic growth in the Park

In yet another example supporting the ‘Forever Wild’ motto of The Adirondack Council, they have again  joined with PROTECT the Adirondacks in a plan to discourage economic development in the Park.  The Council has come out in opposition to the reopening of a rail line between Newcomb and North River.  The opening of this line would create jobs and would reduce the number of 18 wheel trucks traveling on Adirondack highways.
